Minority Health Month Focuses On Preconception Health

April is National Minority Health Month, and the focus this year is on preconception health with the theme, “”Ordinary Couples Don’t Plan Their Pregnancies: Be Extraordinary!” The Office of Minority Health at the Indiana State Department of Health kicked off Minority Health Month with an opening ceremony at the Statehouse Wednesday, April 1. State health officials say preconception health is a woman’s health before she becomes pregnant.
