Use Ultrasonic Liposuction for Those Hard to Reach Places

Do you have fatty areas on your body that seem impervious to all the efforts you have taken in regards to diet and exercise? Places such as the neck, chin, ankles, knees and cheeks present challenges when it comes to burning the fat in those areas. However, with ultrasonic liposuction, you can remove fat from these hard to reach places in which traditional methods do not work. The good news is the liposuction cost for the ultrasonic method is cheaper than traditional lipo as it is less invasive but the amount of fat removed and time spent in surgery do play a part in cost.

Defining the Ultrasonic Method

Ultrasonic liposuction uses ultrasonic sound waves to break up fat cells, basically liquefying them for easy removal. It is a favorite method of some cosmetic surgeons when fat needs to be removed from hard to reach places as mentioned earlier. The ultrasonic procedure can be used in conjunction with more traditional lipo methods and can serve to provide more precise contouring of certain body parts.

One of the combination procedures for ultrasonic liposuction includes an injection of a special saline solution into the particular body part being targeted for fat removal. The injection contains saline solution mixed with anesthetic (a numbing agent) as well as epinephrine (also known as adrenaline). The fluid swells the area, breaking apart the fat cells which make it easier to remove by suctioning. For stubborn fat, the ultrasonic energy is unleashed breaking up the fat stores for easy suctioning along with the injection method.

Benefits and Risks Of Ultrasonic Liposuction

Ultrasonic liposuction is favored over traditional lipo methods because of its ability to break up the fat deposits which are denser and less susceptible to those traditional methods. The ability to be able to remove larger amount of fat in addition to the side benefit of skin tightening for a more youthful appearance also counts for this favoritism. Ultrasonic liposuction is best when applied after traditional, more invasive lipo as it can fine tune its efforts and is more precise in its fat removal.

As with any other cosmetic procedure, there are some risks associated with ultrasonic liposuction. The use of the ultrasonic technology produces some heat which can cause scarring, skin blistering or even burns where the ultrasound energy is directed.  Only surgeons who are specifically schooled in ultrasonic-assisted liposuction will be able to avoid those risks.

Fat removal in the facial areas and neck are particularly conducive to ultrasonic liposuction because it is more effective in those smaller, hard to reach areas that traditional methods cannot reach. And because one of the benefits is tighter skin, you could “lose” a few years off your age and appear younger and more vibrant by all outward appearances.
