   Up to 80% of people have had a cold sore on their lips at one time or another, so it’s only a matter of time before we all have it really. And it’s nothing to do with a lack of hygiene. Although touching your cold sore and not washing your hands may be a good way to spread it to other parts of your body. Good luck to you if you can go your whole life without ever being exposed o the virus.

   man i just love how these vids put the ultimate worst case scenerios on here…in reality 99% of people w herpes both one and two have mild to moderate outbreaks which are NOTHING like the pictures that they show on vids like this one.

   i agree with ur comment.i get cold sores every year 4 as long as i can remember.i havent got a lack of hygiene,im a very clean person.

   Um, I would have to disagree about spreading it to other parts of your body. You already have antibodies to it. I asked a doctor recently about spreading it below. Not really possible.

   The video sort of puts down people with cold sores. And, you can’t “KNOW” who you are kissing. It is not realistic to ask people for a blood test before you kiss them.

    Don’t always believe what a doctor tells you. Half the time doctors diagnose herpes as an ingrown hair. They really don’t know shit. You really can spread it to new parts of your body. So don’t go rubbing your eyes after touching a cold sore.

    This is b-s. There aren’t any “magic secrets”. Abreva works really well, yeah it costs $15 for a tiny tube but it’s worth it to not have some blister on your face. Or go to the doctor and get a prescription 4 Acyclovir (brand name Zovirax). A friend took it for his shingles and they healed SO MUCH faster!
    There is one herb I’ve read about that helps your body keep herpes from erupting…

    Most people have herpes but dont know it since they are asymptomatic, which is common. Im asymptomatic and I feel really lucky I never get sores like that.

    @jetdatboy hey man chances are you have the virus, it is almost as common as the flu. Karma will get back at any of you people who tease people with cold sores. I got mine when i was 4 not my fault and i gotta live with it for the rest of my life. I do have ways to prevent and get rid of them in less than a day. trust me I have cold sores for over twenty years.
