Fleshlight v Tenga – The Battlelines Are Drawn

Adult toys for men are available in a variety of different appearances, however lets be honest regarding this, they all do virtually the same thing. Don’t they? It appears that not all mens toys are created equal, depending on what you read and who you believe.

As with all products there are always the leading brands and it is these brands the new brands are often judged against. In jeans you have Levis and Wrangler, in watches you haveRotary and Rolex. Well when it comes to the male adult toy the leading brands are Tenga and Fleshlight. But which is the superior product and which is worthy of being added to toy collection?

The longstanding front runner is the Fleshlight sex toy. As the name sounds the toy looks just like a flashlight. The range consists of a wide choice starting at around the £50 point, so the price alone can deter you from trying one (in the current climate who wants to gamble £50 on a toy they may or may not enjoy). There are a choice of openings too choose from and some are actually modelled on actors and actresses to give you that true to life feel. The inner sleeves themselves (the business part) are made of a patented Superskin material which feels remarkably soft and offers an overabundance of inner textures for your enhanced stimulation. Recently a vibrating Fleshlight has been introduced, however the makers have made a small mistake here as the bullet vibe is situated at the base of the toy. This means it stimulates the base of the penis and if you ask any man this is not where he wants to be stimulated.

A relatively young entrant into the industry is the Tenga sex toy. There are 3 distinct ranges, the Egg, the Onacup and the Flip Hole. In total there are about 20 different toys and starting for less than £10. These also have a selection of inners for you to enjoy, but the orrifices are all fairly similar. The inners though do vary from a softer feel right through to a much harder feel, so regardless of how you want the toy to feel you will probably find a Tenga to suit. They even have a toy called the egg designed to mainly stimulate the head of your penis. Tenga, however have been creatd to be a onetime use toy. The idea is that you buy one, use it and throw it away, so repeated use can get expensive. The easy solution to this is to use a condom so that you can use the same toy repeatedly. Obviously Tenga have come up with this onetime usage idea to promote sales, but in the current economic climate re-use is probably the best policy.

So which is the best? The truth is they both offer different qualities and it greatly depends on your budget and experience. If this is your first time using a male toy then your initial purchase should definitely be a Tenga. It may sound ridiculous but not everyone enjoys playing with sex toys, so test the water first. Fleshlights’ are more suited to a more experienced user that wants to go up to the next level and so should really be a second purchase. Over the long term Fleshlights give the best value for money, they feel more superior and the fact you can remove the inner sleeve to wash it means it should last you a long time. However the Tenga are much more fun and offer a fantastic selection for you to test out but probably will not last as long as the Fleshlight (but what can you expect for a product costing more than 80% less).
