There are many things that can dictate how your doctor may deal with a complex cyst

  • If your doctor suspects that you have a complex cyst they may request other testing be done;
  • They may do an endovaginal ultrasound. This will allow them to determine the exact kind of cyst you may have.
  •  A CT scan or MRI may be also be ordered.
  • You may be asked to take a CA 125 blood test. This particular blood test is to detect cancer antigens and will quickly rule out ovarian cancer.
