Philippines Family Planning Bill Challenges Catholic Influence On Reproductive Health

A “ground-breaking” bill in the Philippines that would provide government-funded family planning services has reached the House floor for debate, a development that supporters of the bill say “shows that the political clout of the Roman Catholic Church is on the wane” in the country, the Christian Science Monitor reports.
