Have you or anyone you know had surgery to remove genital warts?

If so, please let me know if you had either, laser, frozen off or burned off and let me know the results and if it hurts. I have them on the outside and the inside as well. Please let me know if this will be a painful procedure. Please only answer from personal experiences. I have seen all there is about HPV, Genital Warts and the types of surgery available. I really just want to know the outcome from people who have actually experienced this. Oh and I have tried the Aldara cream so that is out of the questions I only want to know about the surgery. Thanks!

I went through this with my best friend 10 years ago.
She had her Dr. burn off the external warts and also what is known as a “leep” procedure to cut off the ones inside on her cervix
. It was done in 2 separate procedures.
She was very upset and scared at first, because her cells were precancerous on her cervix.
….both of her procedures were done in office.
The cauterization (burning off) did not cause her much discomfort.
With the leep, I had to drive her home because she was sedated.
She had mild cramping for that evening (like when starting your period).
The doctot gave her a prescription for pain…
At first, she was getting follow-up PAP’s every 3 months, after they were clear, she went to every 6 months.
After a year clear…she went to having her regular annual PAP and has been clear for 10 years…
    Definitely do the procedure.
Talk with you Dr and follow his advice.
