HPV/ genital warts question?

April 29, 2009 by admin

How far can Genital Warts spread up inside of a female?
I read somewhere that if they spread to your abdomen inside that you can die from it. Is it possible for them to spread to your abdomen or is that true?

Visible genital warts are most commonly due to low risk HPV types 6 and 11. Low risk HPV types are rarely seen in cancers. Some people that have visible genital warts also carry a co-infection with high risk HPV types.

High risk HPV types are found in cancer. High risk HPV types must president and progress to a cancer…this usually takes a many years. Yearly or as directed by your physician can see these cells changes early and treat these cell changes before they progress. Once cancer has occurred and the cancer stage II B then the cancer tumor may invade other tissue.
