But what I really want to know is some of the more “personal” side effects. How long do I wait until I have sex. Do I need to use a condom for the rest of life so I don’t infect future partners? I really would like honest, supportive, RESPECTFUL answers.
Genital warts are caused by a virus, In fact, all warts are a virus. However, once you have them removed and the cuts are healed, you should not have to use a condom because the wart will be gone. If you have sex before you are completely healed, then yes, you can pass it on if you don’t use protection. I had 15 removed 20 yrs ago and they never returned. so there’s a little bit of hope for you.
