Is it normal for a guy to have a lump on the shaft of his penis?

May 7, 2009 by admin

i hooked up with a guy and he had like a raised lump about the size of a dime. it was all "under" the skin and not red or wart-like or anything. i repeat, it's not hpv/Genital Warts. i freaked out and asked him if it was a genital wart or sumthin and he told me he's always had that. is that normal? some sort of sign of a disease? i got checked for std's afterward because i didnt wanna just take his word for it and everything came back clean although i'm gonna take another one soon because that was like 6 months ago and i know it takes a while for some std's to even show up on the tests

i like the idea of asking his mother, more important to see if he is lying to you or not. The raised lump doesnt sound like the symptoms of HPV (warts) or Herpes, and those are the only two diseases where your really going to see anything. Genital warts look just like all other warts, so if you've ever had one on your hand or someting, you should know what they look like. Herpes lesions are usually smaller, redder, and will generally be more gross. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Check on it again in a week and see if it looks different. If it isn't herpes or warts it should look the same. Also, def ask his mother, it will make for a fun afternoon and an awseome story to tell your friends/kids *when they grow up!
