Who is more susceptible to catching HPV & Genital Warts, a man or a woman?

Is it harder for a woman to catch HPV as opposed to a man? A friend of mine told me that if a woman has HPV (Genital Warts) it’s more than likely she has had numerous sex partners. I don’t see how that is possible, but figured I would ask anyway.

Woman in heterosexual relationships have a higher susceptibility of acquiring hpv than men in heterosexual relationships; do to the method of transmission.
