Genital Herpes â?? A Life Sentence of Misery?

Genital Herpes is a horrible disease, affecting not only your health and sex life, but psychologically it can cause anxiety, depression and a loss of self-esteem and confidence.

Herpes is now the most common sexually transmitted disease in the world, and unlike other STDâ??s, Herpes is for life. At present there is no known cure, and consequently sufferers are condemned to a lifetime of misery.

If you are in a relationship herpes can have a devastating effect, not only will there be long periods when sex is out of the question, but there is the added stress of not passing the disease on to your partner.

If on the other hand you are single then herpes can seriously affect your confidence when talking to potential partners. How do you explain to a new partner that you are suffering with an incurable STD?

The herpes virus lies dormant in the nerve cells near the base of your spine and when it notices that your immune defences are low it will come to life and attack the skinâ??s surface around your genitals, forming clusters of painful, fluid filled blisters

There are numerous so-called â??miracleâ?? products advertised that are said to â??cureâ?? this disease, but from my experience of talking to sufferers, the outbreaks keep returning.

It is now agreed by most experts that the only real way of defeating the herpes virus is by strengthening your own immune system in such a way that it is able to stop further outbreaks from occurring.

The first and most obvious thing to do in order to strengthen the immune system is to eat a good and well balanced diet together with at least a little exercise. A diet of â??junk foodâ?? will just not work.

In addition to a good diet there are certain other easily obtained supplements that are especially good at fighting the herpes virus, and within a fairly short period of time there is every chance that further outbreaks will be a thing of the past.
