Overweight:  Means excess body mass of all your tissues

Obesity is the one that should concern you the most.  Losing weight is not an issue you can afford to avoid .  Some scarey healthpoints should get you into finally doing something about your weight

  1. Diabetes:  80 -90% of type 2 diabetes are overweight .  Diabetes is known as the third leading cause of death in the U.S.A and the leading cause of grownup blindness in the world.
  2. Stroke:  the build up of fatty acids in your arteries throughout your body is connected with Obesity.  This narrows the arteries and slows the blood flow allowing clots and a stroke to form.
  3. Cancer:  the world health association judges that between 25 – 33% of cases are related to being obese and physically i inactive. Body fat promotes insulin and estrogen levels to rise and accelerate cell division, which is directly related to causing cancers.
  4. Respiratory Problems:  Being overweight causes lungs to get smaller and the heavy weight pushes the lungs in -  causing breathing issues.  The most frequent problem that develops is Sleep Apnea and losing weight is the only safe and sound solution .
  5. Urinary Incontinence:  Which is an involuntary release of urine.  Heavy abdominal weight from your body fat creates pressure on the urinary pressure, trying to expunge urine.  This can even cause bed wetting at night, and embarrassment when you laugh or cough.
  6. Varicose Veins:  The legs and thigh muscle assist the heart in the circulation of blood.  Pressure from a large abdomen increases the workload of the values causing damage.  This allows the veins to enlarge and thicken.
  7. High Blood Pressure:  A third of high blood pressure issues are connected to being overweight .
  8. Back Pain:  The extra weight in your abdomen will cause pressure in your back.  Strengthening your stomach muscles through exercise is directly related to improving back pain.

Scientific evidence has shown that even a weight loss of 10 pounds can greatly reduce your risks of these diseases.  Measuring your BMI (Body Mass Index) is a helpful way of evaluating your risk factors.
